FLASHBACK REPORT

Last semester, various activities were held here at NCBA Taytay. Among these activities were the Intramurals, PRISAA, Pre-Valentine Party and the 3-days celebration of the school's 39th foundation.

INTRAMURALS 2006

The Intramurals was held last December 6,7, and 8 and was participated by the different departments such as Computer Science, HRM, Accounting, Nursing and BA. The activity started with a parade, and was followed by the presentation of muses and athletes.  The much awaited part of the program was the cheering competition that made the whole program lively

PRISAA 2006

The Private School Athletic Association (PRISAA) Meet was held last December 18-20, 2006 at Tomas Claudio Memorial College (TCMC) in Taghangin Morong, Rizal. It was participated by the different colleges located in Rizal such as AMA Computer College, ICCT Colleges, National College of Business and Arts, Roosevelt College-, Siena College, Tomas Claudio Memorial College, and Unciano College.

The winners on the different events are as follows : In Basketball; TCMC-Champion, ICCT-2nd place, AMA-3rd place. In Volleyball-Men ; Unciano College – Champion, TCMC-2nd place and Siena College-3rd place. In Volleyball-Women; TCMC – champion, Unciano College – 2nd place and NCBA-3rd place.

PRE-VALENTINE PARTY

The BA Pre-Valentine Party held last February 10, was the first major project of the BA society for this school year.  The gymnasium was set into a very romantic mood by the BAS officers.  The guests and participants experienced a dinner with candlelight while listening to good music performed by amateur bands.

39th FOUNDING ANNIVERSARY

It was considered the busiest school activity because it is usually set into a three-day affair.

As usual, a thanksgiving mass was held on the first day at the school gymnasium which was attended by the school officials, faculty members, employees, students, and parents. It was followed by the opening of exhibits. The showcase which was prepared by the Nursing students was exhibited at the school lobby and entitle “Ladderized Learning Competencies of BSN Students.” Each year level conceptualized their exhibits as follows : BSN-1 “ Safari Express, “ Paleolithic/Mesolithic/Neolithic/Age of Metals,” and the “Evolution of Alphabet.” BSN-II had “Urban, Rural, Sub-Urban Community Models, “ “Oplan : HG ( Mga Halaman ng buhay),” and offered medical services.  BSN-III, showed pictures conducting “Debridement, Caesarian Operations, and Cataract operations.”

Humanities class presented their own exhibit that deals with “Evolution of Art: Medieval to Modern Art.” Entries in this exhibit were required to use junk materials. To encourage the students to give out their best, the organizer decided to give prizes for the best works.

The HRM students also prepared their own as they showcased their talents in food preparation, food presentation and bar tending.

The College of Nursing had their quiz bee entitled “Tagisan ng Talino.” The said quiz bee was participated by BSN, BSBA, and BSA students. Among the participants, a BSN, Precious Ryen Madiaga bagged home the prize.

BSA Dept. prepared a “Bingo Bonanza.” It was held at the AVR located at 3rd floor of College Building. Everyone enjoyed the game, most specially those who won the game.

On the 2nd day, TNH staffers together with their adviser administered the pre-qualifying written examination to those students who are aspiring to be a part of the organization.  Battle of the Bands, organized by the BA Dept. was also held.  The Buenas Bonzas Band (BSA) won the competition.

To complete the celebration, an exciting Pinoy Olympics and Singing and Dancing Contests were held. Pinoy Olympics was participated by the BA and CS students while SDC, organized by LAS, was attended by most students.  Winners in the singing contest were Rhoselle Rafon 9BSA), first Place; Jasmin Angeles (BSBA), 2nd place; and Joseph Cuison (BSA), 3rd place.
