The PACUCOA accreditors undertook the level II first reaccreditation visit of the Business Administration program of our school. They visited us last August 17-19, 2005 Each of them has their respective assignments. Assistant Dean Ma. Cristina Cruz was assigned for Faculty, Instruction and Laboratories. Mrs. Gloria Ruzgal took over the inspection of the Library. Engr. Ronald La Torre was responsible for Physical plant and facilities. The last one is Dr. Corazon quintana who evaluated Student Personnel Services and Social Orientation and Community Involvement. The areas of assignment mentioned above were the criteria for the accreditation. According to Dr. Conrado Iñigo, chairman of the PACUCOA team, a school applies voluntarily for accreditation because fundamentally, the school sees the accreditation as a stimulus to help them improve their quality of education. Dr. Iñigo cites that NCBA students are committed and articulate and its faculty are very responsive and are experts in their fields of specialization. He further points out that NCBA Management is dynamic because they believe in change - not merely resting on its laurels. Dr. Quintana together with Prof. Omo Estrada and assisted by THE FRONTIES visited our adopted community in Brgy. Quirino 2-C and Escopa as part of NCBA's Social Orientation and Community Involvement. Dr. Quintana had the chance to talk with barangay officials who only had high praises for NCBA's efforts in uplifting the community through its sponsorships of scholars under the Community Outreach Program undertaking two-year or four-year courses. Now, NCBA is gearing up for the 2nd reaccreditation that would propel it closer to level III. The advantages of gaining full accreditation include implementation of programs without seeking CHED approval, and for improving the school's marketability. |
