The 31st of July 2009 marked the start of an exciting year as the MYX Slam Jam Tour set the stage of NCBA Fairview Quadrangle in collaboration with JMA - NCBA (Junior Marketing Association of NCBA) and PJMA (Philippine Junior Marketing Association) in an event to promote NCBA and MYX, and to bring about good vibes that would be remembered throughout this academic year.

Four of Studio 23's MYX Video Jocks Chino Liu Pio, Bianca Roque, Monica Yncierto, and Andrei Felix hosted the event. The most awaited parts of the event were the performances by some of the country's most popular bands Hale, Imago, Pedicab, Syntax, and Ernville. Hale sang its latest carrier single " Bahay Kubo," Imago sang " Akap " and " Sundo," and Pedicab wrapped up the evening with the song ' Aysus ' . Sponsors like Smart, Frenzy, Sunsilk, and C2 Drinking Tea also entertained the audience through different games participated by selected high school and college students of NCBA.

The MYX Slam Jam Tour started at 6pm and ended at 8:45pm. Estimated crowd number was 3,500 according to the JMA Vice President for membership, Lyssa Ericka Cabarles. The MYX Slam Jam Tour surely created the momentum and had set the standard for all the events to come.
