"Huwag kang maging guro dahil mura and tuition, huwag kang maging guro dahil pamilya kayo ng mga guro, maging guro ka dahil ito ang tinitibok ng puso mo", were the lines which really struck my heart and got retained in my mind as i witnessed the one of a kind full length play held at Crossroads 77. The play entitled "Ang Guro" was nothing but a great presentation and tribute for our beloved teachers and for those who are aspiring to be one as well. This presentation gave a lot of positive realizations. One of these is that we are engaged in the noblest business here on earth, and that is to hone and develop human skills. We can leave an impact to our student's lives and it will last for a lifetime. We can touch their lives not only on those times that they are inside the campus because they will surely carry on with what they will learn wherever they will go. It just proves that a teacher has a big role in shaping student's personality as they embark the road of their lives.

The play also perfectly showcased real-life and real-scores between teacher - student relationships. Each of the character leaves inspiration and lesson to the audience. And what they portrayed was surely for our betterment as teachers and future educators. They filled up what were missing in certain aspects to become a good teacher and they pointed our the bad behaviors which would eventually override the code of ethics of becoming a good educator.

As I was watching the entire play, it made me think if I'm worthy to be a teacher. So i asked myself, "What great influence will I leave to my students someday?" I came up with a thought that if ever God would bless me to be a teacher I would try my best to uplift my students' well being, Teaching is a service which requires love, dedication and passion because if you would not give, then, surely you would not survive in the field of teaching. And once we lose our eagerness and enthusiasm in the field that we have chosen then we will not be an effective molder of a youth's mind someday.

The dialogues and endearing performance in the play became the reason why i couldn't help being emotional that time. The play highlighted teachers' sacrifices, sleepless nights and all the efforts which they exerted for their students.
